7th Annual Festivus

December 7, 2012

Each year we do our part to effect positive change for the leaders, healers, dreamers, and visionaries of tomorrow.  This past Friday, December 7—Ruby Peck’s birthday—we rang the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange and hosted our Seventh Annual Festivus on behalf of The Ruby Peck Foundation for Children’s Education. 100% of the net proceeds will benefit Junior Achievement of New York’s efforts to help local area children affected by Hurricane Sandy.

A dream is only as powerful as those who believe in it, and I would be remiss if I didn’t thank the sponsors and individuals who helped make this year’s event one of the best yet.  A special shout out to the fine folks at TD Ameritrade, NYSE Euronext, Interactive Data, CAC Industries, Lincoln Land Services, E*Trade , T3Live, Lightspeed, Heiberger & Associates, PC, PwC, The Bennet Sedacca Memorial Scholorship, Himan Brown Charitable Trust, Pension Partners, Buy & Hedge, Real Deal Decoration, Investing Channel, Entermedia Growth Partners, Platinum Maintenance, Maxim Group, HiTouch, Triangle Services, Dalan Management, Jordan Cooper & Associates, Popcorn Indiana, All-Star Security, and Barterhouse.

I would also like to personally thank the RP Foundation Board of Directors, the Minyanville staff, our professors and contributors, our partners and affiliates, Yahoo Finance (stay tuned for a slew of media segments), and our friends at The New York Stock Exchange for the privilege and honor of "ringing in" Festivus with some swagger!

Thank you for your continued support, and from our family to yours, have a healthy and safe holiday season and a prosperous new year!
